Busy in Christchurch
We slept until 8am this morning then waited for the room to heat up before getting up to shower and change. We then sauntered down to The Crossing and had brunch at Coffee Culture. We’ve been there before and it’s always good.
After breakfast we went in search of a gift for a friend’s 70th birthday on Friday. We found something suitable at the Icebreaker store in Ballantyne’s Department Store, so made the purchase then found the post shop - in a corner of the Unichem Chemist shop of all places. I wrote the card MrM had designed and printed, addressed the post bag put the card and gift inside and sent it off by overnight courier to ensure it arrives in time.
That done, we found the Riverside Market and had a good look round, happened on the Charing Cross Cheesery and made a purchase to take home with us. We then returned to Coffee Culture for a coffee for MrM and a smoothie for me. Then we decided it was time to head back to the motel for a rest and to do Wordle, Quordle and Quordle Sequence. MrM also did Octordle. We realised that we are not good shoppers unless we have something specific we need to buy so wandering aimlessly around shops hoping to stumble on something is just not our thing.
We met our friend D for dinner at Coriander’s, which is an Indian restaurant. The food was excellent and we had a lovely evening together.
I haven’t been on blip so am behind with comments.
