on the canal

I used my bus pass today for the first time since moving to Cirencester.

I took the bus to Cricklade then ran back to Cirencester along various tracks and trails, mostly along the old Thames and Severn canal.

I came across this building not far from Cricklade at Cerney Wick. It is the Cerney wick Round House and was build around 1792 as a canal lengthsman cottage. It was abandoned by the canal company in 1831 but as you can see is now restored and is someone's rather nice private residence.

I was running so I only had my iphone and it was pretty overcast. I feel like I might need to go back again with the Nikon when the light is better as it should make a really nice capture.
