Caerketton Craigs and the T-Wood
A bit dull, but the clouds clear and it is another lovely sunny start to the day. Very warm on the walk around the park, the purple allium flowers are nearly in bloom. Keeping an eye on the weather forecast, the fine weather is set to be replaced with heavy rain and possible thundery showers.
There is rain forecast, so partner and I head up to Swanston before 2pm. It was sunny, but clouds are moving up from the south. By the time we get to Swanston, the sun has gone. The trees in the T-Wood are now almost fully in leaf. What a difference a week of warm sunny weather makes. Last week's blip had only a few trees showing green. There aren't any views, not even a hint of an outline of the Ochil Hills. The Coos are lying down, due to the heat, and not the impending rain. Haggis, the newest addition, seeking out shade in a hedge. On the way back, dark clouds are heading north. A quick text to one of the twins to bring in the washing. There are spits and spots of rain, but we both make it home dry. The heavy rain arrives 45 minutes later, and it is quite torrential. No thunder or lightning though.
