A Special Day..

Mothers' Day is coming up tomorrow and in honour of that, a beautiful bouquet from my daughter and SIL arrived and now sits in front of me on the coffee table. Such a treat to have fresh flowers in the house; I will enjoy every minute of those fabulous blooms, and  although it will be tempting, I will try not to use them every day for my blip! :))

I spent most of today in my craft room working on card-making. It is a hobby I have always enjoyed but I got away from it for whatever reason and have not been back to it for quite some time. With birthdays and anniversaries popping up all over the place this spring,  I have found myself card-less on too many occasions. It was time...and so out came all the supplies and I amused myself for hours. Note that there are no blip photos of that part of my day; what a mess ! And it will stay like that for a while. I still have more occasions that require cards right now than I  have cards for, so I purposely did not put everything away;  I left it all out so it will be easy to pop in to cut and paste whenever the urge hits! And no-one will see the mess anyway, as my craft room is upstairs...well out of sight. 

Another treat of the day was meeting my friend Sandy at the library. She had come to town to get a book for our book club that her local library did not have and called me to join her for coffee at the library cafe. It was  good opportunity to get caught up on each other's life beyond book club! (Which by the way, I am hosting this coming week...and to which I have not given one iota of thought! Yikes!)
