Day two - Split

The first port of call on our itinerary is Split. We have no particular activity on the tourist front planned today as we were here for a few days some years ago.

After breakfast on the ship we went ashore to have a walk around the town.  When we were last year the cellars below Diocletian’s palace was full of stalls selling various souvenirs and similar merchandise. They have now been removed and the area is more of a archaeological site, see extra.

Apart from this change the historical centre and port area was much as we remembered it.
