Dots on the ceiling

PY went out for a drink with some colleagues after work, so so was not back until 8:30 pm, but I was only reheating some of yesterday‘s meatballs and aubergine ragu for dinner, so we still ate relatively early. There was a documentary about Boris Johnson on Channel 4 which proved quite interesting, but after that I called it a day, and now I am sitting on the bed, making patterns in the lights on the ceiling. It’s worse when I’m lying down, and I try to connect them like some child’s dot-to-dot drawing book. You would think after more than ten years of living here with this view above my head at night, I might stop drawing imaginary lines between the lightbulbs. But I Haven’t stopped yet.
