better than ending
Fortunately, the two rims are fairly similar and the spokes exactly the same length, so hopefully the hub from the knackered rear will be able to be transplanted into the spokes and rim of the un-knackered-at-the-time-of-being-replaced-by-the-dynowheel former front wheel. Unfortunately this will take some time as it took me one evening's free time just to de-spoke the dead former rear. A pity that a rim could be replaced whilst leaving the spokes attached to the hub but replaced a hub requires complete dissassembly. Perhaps there's a wheel equivalent of a locking-trem guitar where the swaged end of the spoke lives on the rim and the tightening happens at the hub.
