Spicy
After work, I spent a long time mixing spices for a 'masala cauliflow potato' dish. Usually, I wouldn't say I like this kind of cooking as there's a lot going on, and I prefer to put everything into a single pot and place it in the oven. But the recipe promised that, despite a long list of ingredients, it would be relatively quick and could all be handled in a single pan on the hob. Unless I am very slow when gathering ingredients and chopping them, every recipe I read underestimates preparation time. And that happened today when 25-minute preparation was closer to 45 minutes. But the resulting dish was delicious and something a bit different. The fresh chillis really added to the mix, and it was, perhaps, spicier than expected but not terrible. I'll do this one again.
