No Ball Games

We completed the Ryde Art trail this morning. Curated by an organisation called Community Murals, there are 9 new murals around the town centre. We did it in reverse, starting with the water-inspired paintwork at Waterside Pool. We saw them all, except the one inside Monkton Arts, as the venue is closed on Sundays. My favourites were No Ball Games at Co-op Square (is that what the place is called?) as it's pretty immersive and the psychedelic imagery of the Hover Travel mural. But all of them are great and worth the walk.

Afterwards, we ran a few errands in town. PY bought his first cold coffee drink of the year from Costa, but I resisted. Later, we bought ingredients for a Mexican fajita meal, including vegetables, from a greengrocer rather than the supermarket. We paid a bit more, but it felt right to support a local business.

After spending the afternoon on the flat, by about 4pm, we decided to take a walk. This time, we walked to Seaview and then onwards to the boardwalk near Seagrove Beach/Bay. Along the way, there were some impressively large houses with amazing sea views. Yet, the place felt quite deserted, and we only saw a couple of people walking dogs or cycling on the sand. Another wonderful reason to spend time out in nature and by the sea: it's uplifting.

Back for our Mexican.
