Card

As I suspected when I booked everything last Wednesday, the person who came to look at the washing pipe blockage was, in fact, a drain unblocker (if there is such a term), and the small pipe from the back of the washing machine was not what he dealt with.  He claimed the original machine engineer should have dealt with it. The drain man was in the kitchen talking to PY and was about to leave when he pointed at the pipe and dislodged something, which started the water running. It was quickly cleaned up, but it seems the pipe is unblocked.  They did not put the washing machine back in place, and I wonder how we will do that?

As I was tidying up after the visit, I saw we still had the Easter card we received from Mum and Dad on the side. It's been sitting there quite a while. Not a lot of people send Easter cards, but we have always done it to the immediate family. Was it ever a tradition, or was it something that the card shops latched on to at one point? It's always nice to receive a card.
