A room with a view

Last time we flew from Heathrow Airport we stayed in a hotel on the perimeter of the airport with the intention of getting the 'Hotel Hoppa' bus service into the terminal.  Despite allowing far more time than we needed to and the buses supposed to run every 30 minutes, we waited over an hour and a half before giving up and getting a taxi into the airport.  We very nearly missed our flight.  It wasn't the first time that Hotel Hoppa had let us down so I swore never to use them again, and I never will.

This time we have booked a hotel from which we can simply walk into the terminal.  It cost a bit more but is well worth it, even if just for the peace of mind.  This is the view from their 14th floor bar where we have just had a couple of drinks and a very nice meal while watching the planes take off.

An early start in the morning so it will be an early night tonight.  I will be relying totally on hotel wi-fi whilst we are away and probably won't have a lot of chance to look and comment on blip so apologies now if I seem to have gone quiet!
