JMW Turner day

For years I have wanted to visit The Tate Britain and so today was finally the day. It contains a brilliant number of paintings by England’s own JMW Turner. Plus much more.

Although I have been sharing photos from Venice for several weeks, Paladian chose this painting of The Dogana in Venice as her favourite painting in the gallery. So it was decided with us both loving it.

In the extras there is a self-portrait of Turner, and his painting of Caligula’s Palace. For a change of pace, the newly restored face of Big Ben.
