Staring at the ceiling
… in the waiting area of the Scottish Parliament.
I was at a reception, sponsored by Clare Adamson MSP - ‘The Scottish Chamber Orchestra at 50’ this evening, celebrating the work of the SCO over the past fifty years and its contribution to communities far and wide, both at home and abroad, and looking forward to more exciting ventures to come. We were entertained by a small choir from Castlebrae Community High School in Niddrie (SCO has a five year residency in Craigmillar at the moment), and then some members of the Orchestra played a few jolly pieces finishing with the Radetzky March to get the audience involved. All very entertaining, and hopefully any MSPs present would continue to be persuaded that funding for music and the arts is vital for a healthy and successful society.
