Fatima, Portugal

Visited Fatima today. It is a place of pilgrimage for Roman Catholics as it is believed that Mary, the mother of Jesus, appeared to 3 local children there over 100 years ago. As they died, they were placed in the church building and the photo shows the tombs of 2 of the children. The tomb of the third, who lived well into her nineties, is also there, but is slightly out of shot.
