Finally got the little bugger!

Here he is and he is a lazy one. Not hovering like they usually do he like to sit on the foot rest and drink.

Had been noticing in last few weeks that the nectar slowly decreasing (after nothing for first 6 months). I've seen him before but he is a shy one and quickly flies away when he spots you.

Managed to get these pics on the way back from walking the dog this morning. iPhone on max zoom so not great resolution/quality. But made a montage of the 3 shots I got before trying to get closer and spooking him. Can't work out what species he is though. Doesn't look like any that are meant to be California native.

Quiet day in the lab. A lot of people (including the boss) took today off aswell as yesterday (or left very early). Oh well next year should be Friday 4th so long weekend then. Just finishing off last bits and bobs of green card application tonight.
