Well - that was a hectic day!
Foodbank this morning was busier than usual. We didn’t get a break at all but at least all of our clients were nicely spaced out rather than a huge queue as we open the doors!
We popped home for half an hour for lunch then we went off for our walk - we led our walking group on a walk around the Lodmore area, including alongside the RSPB reserve. Then back to Pauline and Neil’s for coffee and cake.
Didn’t have time to go home after that as there was a celebration for the RNLIs 200th anniversary in the harbour.called ‘The Parade of Sails’. There must have been nearly 100 boats parading along the harbour although they were not all sailing boats. Our RNLI ship led the parade and there was certainly lots of clapping for these brave men and women. Following on were a real assortment of craft - the one in my photo was one of the many that went across to Dunkirk in the war. I like this pic as you can see a bit of a chaotic scene behind. One of the rowing rigs caused a bit of chaos but no one ended up in the water! This was the first of many celebrations for these brave people this year.
