Chicago

The airport at least. Had a 90 minute connection in Chicago on our way to Massachusetts. Enough time to eat and assuage another basic urge or two. Saw this on the wall between terminals. It was obviously intended to capture some of the essence of the city; I think it works.

I was in Chicago 15 years ago and loved it. K has never been, so we're talking about flying out for a long weekend in early October, if the planets align.

First views if Springfield: nothing has changed; at least not for the better. It's also hot and humid. No dry heat here. We're off to Otis Lake tomorrow with D&M and some friends of theirs. Looking forward to it - a great way to spend a hot summer day in New England.
