Our window man and our builder were here at 8am to work out the measurements for the last window that needs to be double-glazed. It’s an odd shape and, therefore, needs a new frame. Our builder is very good at problem solving and worked out the best way of constructing the frame and was then able to give our window man the measurements he needed. We have also asked our builder to put railings on the stairs down to the basement and he is going to cogitate for a couple of days on the best way of doing that and the best material to use.
Our next visitor was a prospective window cleaner, who just happened to be the niece of our window man - he recommended her. Her partner will do the window cleaning, B was looking at the job to be able to give us a quote. She had her 9-month old daughter with her, who was a little cutie, very inquisitive and such a good wee girl.
After B left MrM went down to help at Bookarama, while I got on with some household chores then met MrM for a quick lunch at the Opera House before doing my bit for Bookarama. This time it’s keeping the books tidy after purchasers have somehow managed to make a bit of a mess, and also to sort the books that are still being dropped off. We stayed until 5pm then treated ourselves to a beer and a wine at the Brydone Hotel before walking up the hill to home.
The artistically arranged leaves are from the tree with the sun shining through it.
I haven’t been on blip so am way behind with comments.
