Cattle Egret #55

After a detour on the way home to The Farmer's Arms at Burscough and a good lunch, we dropped in at WWT Martin Mere hoping that the rain would hold off - it didn't!

The good thing about Martin Mere is that it has plenty of hides where you can shelter from bad weather. There were still some nice birds around but the highlight was these cattle egrets that were climbing all over the backs of the bull that was fairly close to the hide.  There's another shot of an egret with a bad hair day in extras that I liked too if you have time.
