Show ground preparation.

Our local agricultural show , The Fife Show, takes place on Saturday and this evening I went along with another member of our Rotary club to meet the show secretary. The purpose was to get our instructions to be volunteers in the Game Fair area should there be a missing child or vulnerable person , a first aider required or any other thing that happens needing urgent attention. We will be armed with our radio ! 

The Game Fair ring showing in the blip will be a very different and busy scene with a variety of activities involving Falconry, Gun dogs, Ferret racing, Bloodhounds and a dog show for Novelty and Pedigree dogs amongst other things. We shouldn’t be bored in this area.

My duty at the show for quite a lot of years has been as judge of the Children’s pets but this year all of the judges at the show will be female so the Secretary felt she had to give me something a bit different ! 

As always I am looking forward to meeting up with old friends when I am not on duty   - our shift is in the afternoon.
