View from a Train

A pretty good view!

Heading to Birmingham en route to London, this the view as the train from Tywyn approached Machynlleth. Over the ridge of hills across the valley is the Fathew valley where the Talyllyn Railway runs. The lane at Rhydyronen which turns into a rough track, leads over these hills. This morning C & I walked the Megs a little way along that route.

As I write Ruth and I are on the train to Euston after a rather fraught short hop from Bournville to New Street. Overnight in central London before a half day hospital assessment for Ruth tomorrow.

It’s going to be a culture shock being back in the metropolis after living in a sleepy country backwater!
