Slim pickings

An experimental shallow depth of field and funny filter pic of the poppies. Not entirely a success. The poppies, on the other hand, are somewhat too successful. Until a combination of heavy rains and string cleared the way you couldn’t walk down the path. A third of the lawn is be-poppied too. I do love them, but things are getting out of hand!

Boring work day. Quick escape to the shops in the afternoon (mainly to post Mam’s birthday card). Chat with a friend tonight, while the pitta dough was proving, then hummus, pitta and roasted chickpeas for dinner (all homemade! It’s the most cooking I’ve done for months.)

Mr B is home tonight, late, so hopefully tomorrow I can break the hummus habit (which has been lunch and dinner every day since I made a big batch on Sunday night).
