The saga ends (almost).

Three days without gas + three hours without power, got up this morning with my short fuse already well alight. Spoke to the contractors twice, " the fitter's on his way"-- 11am no fitter, 11.02 am., phoneline became heated with call to National Grid, " the fitter is in the middle of another job, you're next, he's been told it's urgent".
12.30 - we've got gas!
So the saga ends, apart from the two holes on my block paved drive which have yet to be filled.
Twas on a Friday Morning that the gas man finally called.
