What a day! We needed all the help in the world - gloves, scarves, jackets, umbrellas and a big, warm, dry shelter. In the afternoon there was an amazing hail storm. I was in the garden when I heard thunder, Tilly run and barked at it. Then I heard this strange noise, like a rain, only that it didn't rain. So I stood and listened. And it was getting closer and closer and then it was there, proper hail, lots of ice balls, lots of noise. It came, it went, then it came back for a little while and in the end it moved on somewhere else.
