This pattern in the entrance to the Halles (indoor market) in Troyes caught my eye.

So much of this fascinating town is ancient and uneven, it can't truly be classed as repetition. Nevertheless it is always a gorgeous place to visit.

The earlier part of the journey put us under time pressure getting through uk customs. We take a van of clients bikes and a van of picnic/support gear. However, because it is for business, we export from uk and import to eu. 1 week later we un-import from eu and un-export from uk. Uk side took 2h15 to proces the paperwork, France did the identical thing in 10 minutes. Each van pays over £300 to London Chamber of Commerce for the papers but at least we've taken back control of our borders!
