Gunwharf Quays

We started the day at The Canteen in Old Portsmouth, where we had brunch, looking out to sea. It is waterfront eatery located in the historic Hotwalls Barracks in Old Portsmouth, located at the mouth of the river. We watched half a dozen ferries coming and going, to France and the Isle of Wight.
We then followed thé Millenium Promenade Walk to Gunwharf Quays where we spent a happy few hours shopping and sitting in the sun enjoying a glass of wine. We had an early supper, then headed off to the historic King’s Theatre to watch ABBA - The 50th Anniversary. This was obviously not the real ABBA, but was a very professional tribute band. They were brilliant. Everyone was singing and there was a lot of dancing as well. It was wonderful to see so many people just thoroughly enjoying themselves
