Had a walk to the edge of the Lake to shoot some pictures for a lecture I'm doing at DavidC's club in September - "My approach to landscape photography". This was the final composition, though I took a number of "less satisfactory" angles, to show how I build up to the final composition. We really haven't had any spectacular landscape lighting in some time, but when I do encounter it, I need to shoot some of the "wrong" shots building up to the one I'm happy with (rather than just moving the tripod round until I decide on the composition.
