Hurra for syttende mai!

In Orkney there are strong ties with Norway - and it's something that is celebrated here every 17 May on Norwegian Constitution Day. 

This year we have been joined by many Norwegian visitors, with the guest of honour being Truls Hanevold - former Norwegian Ambassador to Ireland and India.

The sun shone and the Kirkwall City Pipe Band played magnificently.
