Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Tristan's Third Day of Swimming Lessons

After a swim lesson this morning where the little ones have learned to do "cho-choo train" around the edge of the shallow end, then to jump into the pool to mommy (or in Tristan's case to Aunt Dede), then "ring-around the rosie," and finally "motor boat, motor boat," little Tristan was all impressed with himself as he walked up the steps and out of the pool. He was feeling so good that once Dede got his hoodie on, he thought he could talk the teacher out of some of those toys in that toy bucket. However, he just couldn't con her. Instead, she told him tomorrow he could play with the toys when he comes back for swim lesson #4. He's still not wild about the water, but his Aunt Dede has the moxie to not give-up. She realizes the importance of a child knowing how to swim.

It's been a lovely first day of July. Our big holiday is three days away.
Good night from Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol

P.S. Thanks for all the comments yesterday. I hope to have all of last week's camp photos and write-ups posted soon.
