My mum...

This is the embroidery/quilting work I'm passing on to my cousin. Very typical of my perfectionist mum: she created the shapes, the pattern, the whole thing. Pages and pages of sketchbooks of how hexagons can fit together. I'm so glad this will go to someone who will love it, rather than languishing in a cupboard here.
Lovely day, sunshiny and happy. My friend J came down from London, which is a rare occurrence. We took her to lunch by the sea; she was so delighted by absolutely everything & this made us re-remember how lucky and happy we are to live here.
