Meols sunset
We’re back in Meols for more gardening and a quick house clean. It’s been a very strange week and I’m beginning to forget what day it is or where I am!
The weather is glorious, ideal for G to complete his task. As for me, there’s a bit of work around the house and an evening walk down to the beach.
The tide is coming in, filling the channel that winds out to the sea. Far out on the horizon, the last light of the sun glints on the sea, before the darkness of the mudflats absorbs all light. Then there’s the channel, flooded both by water and by golden light as the sun hovers seemingly motionless above the horizon. It’s a momentary vision, as soon the sun disappears into a bank of haze and it’s all over.
Many thanks for your best wishes yesterday!
