RTU’ing with a view.
Returned to Unit (aka home in Munich) this day via Bolzano, Brenner Pass and the "Maccy D" at Schönberg.
The thought of a mere hamburger does not normally illicit such determination to drive creatively within the restrictive Austrian speed limits (generally ignored by Austrian and Swiss drivers). It’s the fact that the hamburger can be enjoyed (if that is the correct word for this brand of hamburger) whilst taking in a south easterly view of (I think) the Wetterstein mountains.
We’ve stopped at this Rastplatz a number of times before and the scene is ever different, snow, rain, night, day.
I imagine there are similar eateries in other countries with equally magnificent views.
