Matera

Today we went to the town of Matera another beautiful town with huge sandstone buildings. The old town is magnificent and I tried to post an extra but it’s not happening. Its claim to fame is the troglodytes homes which were “emptied” in the 70/80’s but many are now restored and used for tourist attractions but others are now once again lived in. Seeking lunch we came across an Artisan area and this cat which had chosen its spot in the window in the sun in one of the beautiful home made pots.
