What a day

Went down to mum's at 9ish - called 111 as instructed by the Nurse Practitioner to make an appointment for an x-ray. Went through all the instructions, then waited for the small injuries clinic to call back only to be told it would need to be a doctor who authorised the request! Called the surgery to ask them to help, which they did, appointment at 5pm at the Royal. The whole morning is gone.
Went to the Royal were seen but then had to go into A&E to be assessed by a doctor and to have x-rays taken - nothing broken although badly bruised. 4 hrs it took, why weren't we told just to go to A&E, we could have taken mum yesterday :-(
On the upside, seen as it was so late we picked up a pizza for tea on the way home :-)
