Calf Hey Reservoir
R took me on a tour of Lancashire today searching for very old geocaches. The game started in 2000. Here we are at Calf Hey Reservoir where there is a cache that's been in the woods since Nov 2001. Not this one though. This made the better photo.
We had lots of fun visiting a the hedge maze in Worden Woods in Leyland, Not an old cache but one that was very difficut to find. We clambered up to the Memorial to the airmen who died when a Wellington Bomber crashed in the woods at Clough Lead Mines. That was an old one from Nov 2001 . We visted a memorial in Freckleton that records a US airforce plane that crashed during a test flight in 1944 and killed 58 civilians on the ground incluing 38 childen. And finally a cache on the banks of the Wyre , a beautiful and peaceful site to find an old Nov 2003 cache,. Collage attached of some of the adventures
