Multiple Exposure Overlays
Eighteen separate exposures were taken at different distances from the trees both from the front and from the rear. I took a photo from each side of the track, moved forward ten paces and took two more. This was repeated until I was too close to fit them both in the frame. The ones taken from the rear were flipped left to right so the same tree was always superimposed on itself. The transparency of each layer was gradually reduced throughout the sequence, stopping when it reached 10%. Two separate images of the surrounding fields (without the trees) were added at the end in 'darken only' mode.
The whole proces was identical to the Pep Ventosa technique except mine were taken along a linear track whereas his were done 'in the round' where the cpture points lie on a circle around the subject.

You may have recognised my subject. The trees are a local landmark known as 'The Kissing Trees' about 2.5 miles from my home.
