A parhelion or halo …..

….. ….. ….. above Brow Peak. I’m always fascinated to see these wonders of nature. The weather changed from sunny to bleak soon after it appeared.

We started with a heavy frost (after all the snow yesterday), so it was getting myself & Missy rugged up for an early walk, before I headed off to church. It was beautifully sunny till mid afternoon and a friend and I were able to sit outside soaking up the sun, while we had lunch on the Terrace at Millbrook.

I drove to Millbrook via a back road and captured a photo of the Shotover River wending its way under Bowen Peak - Extras. Plus the tarn along the road from the Village - Extras.
