Village Carnival

This is the winning float, pirates from all one farming family. The weather was Mediterranean, 90F out of the breeze!

First we went to a cream tea held in aid of the local hospice and another charity. Luckily it was under cover out of the sun. Then we walked up to the field to see all the floats assembling, not many this year but what there were were brilliant, especially when you know some of the people on them! T and J pulled a couple of floats with their tractors, all washed and gleaming.

People will spend the rest of the evening revelling in one of the two pubs and there will be a hog roast. I have taken a break to cook supper at home in the cool!
