NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES
A lovely day. Went over to see Mum and as the weather was so nice we decided to take her to Country Harvest at Ingleton.
Fairly busy roads, a lot of motorcycles about, the vast majority of whom were great, of course, as with every type of road user there's always one or two that don't think the rules apply to them, like overtaking on bends etc, but hey that's only one or two.
We arrived in time for early lunch, such sandwiches and coffee, but all very nice. Then we had a look around their shop. Mum bought herself a home-made cheese scone for her tea. I actually bought myself a new frock - 100% pure cotton and gorgeous. This is ready for my Great Nieces wedding next year, but it may well be worn before then too. I had no intention of getting anything, but when I saw it, it was handmade in Dorset and there was only one in my size, so I wandered around but in the end had to try it on and it was a perfect fit - THIS IS EXTREMELY RARE FOR ME - so that was it.
We then went into their outdoor clothing barn where hubby got himself an outdoor lightweight rain jacket at half price. Mum also treated us to some Lakes Ice Creams, so we duly went and sat at the cafe's outdoor picnic tables, with this view and just enjoyed them. Then took Mum home, stayed for a quick chat before coming home.
Morecambe Prom was very busy as were the beaches, so we didn't stop. I think there may be have been a vintage bus festival on as there quite a few around. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying themselves.
Got a tard warm for me in the enclosed areas but mostly just the perfect temperature with a lovely breeze blowing. Now if it could stay like this, not any hotter nor any colder and no rain for a couple of weeks that would be lovely!!! Probably just dreaming though.
That's all from me for today, hope you all have a good day too. Do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
