Temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite
A rest day today which I used to explore the coast north of Tinos town, diverting via the harbour and port to watch the sea traffic which looked quite orderly, perhaps because there were fewer commercial vehicles on a Sunday.
I found the Temple of Poseidon and Amphitriti and paid 2 euros to wander about the extensive ruins with no one else about. We are very close to Delos and pilgrims would stop over on Tinos. I think some recent reconstruction work has gone on and all the artefacts are in a museum we are due to visit later.
There is only so much time I can spend in this way before becoming dazed so I continued on my way towards Platia Amos, extra, which apart from two dogs and a small group of people doing tai chi was empty. I swam and read and swam some more.
Back in town for a late lunch and a lazy after beside the pool. The hottest and sunniest day thus far.
