Belated Barcelona Blip 4

Last day, we decided to head down to the industrial harbour to get the cable car over to Montjuic. But it was closed...(The cable car, not Montjuic!)
Come back in an hour we were told, so off we trotted to sit at the beach with an ice cream. Back in an hour to be told, "Maybe another hour, I dunno" (or the equivalent in Catalan!)
So we gave up and walked back to get the metro, then the funicular up.

Once up at Montjuic, we wandered down past the Olympic stadium where the 1992 Olympics were hosted. After that we took a long wander down past the Palau Nacionale to the Magic Fountains then over to Poble Espanyol which is an open air museum of Spanish architecture.
Back to the hotel to pack then we headed down to the harbour to have a beautiful seafood dinner looking over the water. It started to rain as we arrived but didn't last long and was the only time we didn't have glorious weather all holidays.
