Höcke Express

Today we went to the fabulous Karneval der Kulturen/Carnival of Cultures in Kreuzberg. It celebrates the multitude of cultures the people living in Berlin come from. It is an absolute riot of colour. There were about 60 odd groups dancing in fantastic costumes from all over the place. People of all ages, shapes and persuasions took part. Some of the groups were quite political like this one mocking the far-right AfD. We found a nice spot that wasn't too busy towards the start of the parade. Apparently 500 000 people are expected to attend. The weather was mostly fine and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
