Patio day 1

The men were here before eight, and have worked hard. The ground has been cleared, some levelling done, and the footings measured, marked out and dug. Our kitchen and dining room, with the full length window, felt too much like a goldfish bowl for me to be comfortable while they were there, and an unexpected and prolonged downpour prevented my planned walk, so I pottered in my upstairs work room, alternating between computer jobs and sorting things out. Later, J and I enjoyed watching Four Weddings and a Funeral, an old favourite which we know almost by heart but had not watched for some time, for our movie night, with lots of shared laughs at familiar lines.
