Where We've Come From, Where We're Headed......

We drove to FBC this morning under  sunny skies to join with our brothers and sisters in Christ  in praising and worshiping God for all the blessings He has given to us.  We began our service with a congregational song, followed by the welcome from Pastor Wes.  That welcome was followed by a lively song, "We've Come To Bless Your Name", presented by the choir, orchestra and all our wonderful accompanists.  The congregation joined us, for a few more songs before Pastor Wes took us to Ephesians 2:1-7, as we begin to look at where we come from in our relationship with God, where we are headed in that relationship and how we get there.  The unvarnished truth is that we are all born into this broken world as sinners, who live out the sin that Satan encourages and the world around us nudges us toward and we do it because that is who we are.  We justly have earned God's righteous judgement, but God wants a different end for us.  Not because of anything we can do ourselves, but because of Who He is, out of His mercy and goodness, He sacrificed His one and only unique Son to make a way for us to be with Him in Heaven for eternity.  Pastor Wes had much more to say about all this and You can find it in the Live-stream.  It would be worth your time to watch!!!
