Starving Starling!

We were standing in the grounds of Kilconquhar Church this morning with a group from the local churches when someone spied this hungry little face peeping out of his nest hole in the trunk of a tree. Not being an ornithologist I had to ask what kind of bird it was - it was thought to be a starling but if anyone knows differently please let me know.
The mother flew in once to feed her young but she was gone before I raised my camera. Need to be quicker next time!
