Occasional visitor

I had difficulty choosing which of today’s photographs to use for my blip but in the end I went with the one which was a bit fuzzy because it was taken through the window with the zoom of my compact camera at its furthest extent. What swayed me was its rarity value. We are fortunate to have a visit from a great spotted woodpecker from time to time but it doesn’t usually stay still for long enough for me to get my camera set up.
