Pausing
A gentle day was required as the cold I thought I had recovered from three weeks ago seems to have made a come back. It's been a beautiful sunny day with a gentle breeze so perfect for reading in the garden and some potting on of flowers and vegetable seedlings. I've been imagining the growth of grass and weeds at the allotment but need to put that to the back of my mind for the moment. Instead I've been concentrating on appreciating the flowers in bloom in the garden. It's wonderful to have time to do this now I work fewer hours.
Grateful:
- To see signs of life in some of the dahlia tubers I planted several weeks ago.
- To watch swallows swooping in the blue sky above the oaks trees.
- To rest and listen to an audio book in the cool of the house this afternoon.
