A Postcard From Ely

I met up with friends G, M and D at Ely today and we had a lovely sunny day for our meet. We started with a cuppa and cake near the river, then did the river walk. We saw four families of geese all together on the river, so many goslings. We had a browse round the antiques emporium and then had lunch outside by the river. Finally we had a browse in the shops before heading home. Poor M had a really heavy cold and was dosed up with lemsip. I had an incident yesterday when I tripped over a tree root at Pensthorpe and twisted badly, so was quite sore today and was glad of some painkillers when I got home. A delightful day though and so nice to catch up.
