Charming Chandelier

Explain to an English language learner why the first ch is pronounced ch and the second one sh... they both come from French.

Anyway, this is the (sideways on) sight each morning from our bed. Love this room, which looks on to the garden. Mike created it from a poky, single room by removing the fireplace and the ceiling, stealing some space from the bathroom, and putting in a skylight, plus a fitted wardrobe with a window seat in the middle. 

(Have blipped this before, and the room here, when they were new.)

Gratefuls:
- making a start on tackling the overcrowded attic
- fun outing just Eden and I to the Jericho project again (to see if they'd accept our bed settee; answer was no, as foam not got a fire resistant label, shame)
- Deb and the kids popping in unexpectedly

On a sad note, a very special person, Margaret Hill, died peacefully today, cruel cancer.
