Canada Day

Canada Day was celebrated with a big event in Trafalgar Square involving a hockey tournament and performances on a temporary stage by "leading Canadian artists and performers" I'd never heard of, including Jann Arden, Arkells, the Sheepdogs and Tragically Hip. The Wall Street Journal reckoned 100,000 people attended, which could have been an exaggeration.
